Pizza with prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese and balsamic truffle glaze

Ok, who doesn’t like pizza? If you are one of them, this post is not for you. Pizza is one of my favourite dishes and is so versatile. You can make it more healthy or a caloric overload. When I was little, the only time my family went out to eat, was to a pizzeria. This was an event. I would always order the same thing (or my mother would) – pizza Four seasons and Coca-Cola (this was the only time I could have Coca-Cola with my meal, a special occasion). Back then, pizza at home was never so good as in a pizzeria. Now I’m all grown up and homemade pizza wins me over every time. It tastes better, you can put on it whatever you want (or whatever you have in your fridge at that moment) and it doesn’t need much effort to be great. You just need a pizza dough and a good tomato sauce. Oh and don’t forget the cheese, you have to have cheese. All the other ingredients are just extras.

Last week I stumbled upon a gem in the grocery store. I needed to refil on balsamic glaze and when I was scanning the shelves, I found one with truffles. How did I not see it before? I bought it and immediatelly knew how I want to use it. I made this delicius pizza with prosciutto, arugula and goat cheese and sprinkeled it with the truffle glaze. Believe me when I tell you – it was good!

Ok, kdo ne mara pizze? Če si dvignil roko, potem ta objava ni zate. Pizza je ena mojih najljubših jedi in kar je najboljše – je zelo raznolika. Lahko jo naredimo bolj zdravo, lahko pa je velika kalorična bomba. Ko sem bila majhna, so bile pizzerije edina restavracija, v katero smo kdaj šli. To je bil cel dogodek. Vedno sem naročila eno in isto stvar (no mama je naročila) – pizzo štiriletni časi in Coca-Colo (samo takrat sem lahko pila Coca-Colo, posebna priložnost). Takrat domača pizza ni bila nikoli tako dobra kot tista iz pizzerije. No, zdaj sem odrasla in domača pizza je pri meni vedno na prvem mestu. Ne samo, da je boljšega okusa, temvec je tudi idealna jed za čiščenje hladilnika. Potrebuješ le testo, dobro šalso (paradižnikovo mezgo) in karkoli najdeš v hladilniku. O, pa ne pozabit na sir, sir je obvezen. 

Prejšnji teden sem odkrila dragulj v trgovini. Zmanjkalo mi je balzamične glazure in ko sem raziskovala po policah sem naletela na balzamično glazuro s tartufom. Kako, da tega nisem videla že prej? Kupila sem jo in takoj vedela, kako jo želim uporabiti. Naredila sem pizzo s pršutom, rukolo in kozjim sirom ter pokapala tartufovo glazuro po vrhu. Verjemite mi, ko vam povem – bila je odlična!

Ingredients
  1. 200 g pizza dough
  2. 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  3. 1 tsp dried origano
  4. 1/2 cup arugula
  5. 3 slices of prosciutto
  6. 2 tbsp crumbled goat cheese
  7. Balsamic truffle glase
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 280°C (or the maximum your oven can go).
  2. Roll out the dough.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce over the dough and sprinkle with origano.
  4. Bake the pizza on the lower rack until the bottom is golden brown (10-15 min, depending on your oven).
  5. Spread the arugula and prosciutto over the pizza and crumble the goat cheese on top.
  6. Sprinkle with balsamic truffle glaze.

Ingredients
  1. 200 g testa za pizzo
  2. 1/3 lončka paradižnikove mezge
  3. 1 čajna žlička posušenega origana
  4. 1 pest rukole
  5. 3 rezine pršuta
  6. 2 žlici kozjega sira
  7. Balzamična glazura s tartufom.
Instructions
  1. Pečico segrejemo na 270°C (oziroma na najvišjo temperaturo, ki jo vaša pečica premore).
  2. Testo razvaljamo.
  3. Po testu namažemo paradižnikovo mezgo in potresemo origano.
  4. Pizzo pečemo na najnižji rešetki 10-15 min (odvisno od pečice), da postane spodnja stran zlato rjave barve.
  5. Rukolo in pršut razporedimo po pizzi in po vrhu nadrobimo kozji sir.
  6. Na koncu vse skupaj pokapljamo s balzamično tartufovo glazuro.
